Kirstin Clausen
Executive Director

With over 25 years experience as a Museum curator, educator and administrator, Kirstin combines her love of history with the arts to promote the Museum as a vibrant and relevant landmark in the community. She provides operational oversight and is responsible for the implementation of long term strategic plans relating to the Museum programs and services.

Diane Mitchell
Curator of Education & Collections

With a background in geology, Diane spent 12 years working for the National Museums of Scotland, before moving to BC to take up this position in 2007. Diane is responsible for the developing and implementing of school and education programs including exhibits. She also oversees research initiatives and the Collections management of geology specimens, archives and mining artifacts.

Deanna Bell
Director, Sales and Business Development

A recent addition to the Museum, Deanna brings a wealth of sales and tourism Industry experience. She is responsible for admission sales from local businesses and tour segments. Deanna will also assist with business development and sponsorships. As a Squamish resident, Deanna is excited to be promoting a world class attraction that is located in her backyard.

Carol Watts
Visitor Services & Retail Manager

Joining the Museum in 2004, Carol brought significant experience in the fields of retail and guest services. She is responsible for ensuring visitor safety and amenities. She oversees the Gift Shop, tour company bookings, special event coordination for annual events such as Copper and Fire, and helps to build and maintain relationships with the local tourism industry.

Katherine Flett
Marketing Director

Katherine has won awards both locally and internationally over her 18-year career in marketing and communications. She brings with her the commitment and vision required to build awareness and visitation. Along with directing the Museum's marketing strategy, Katherine works with the publicist, Yvonne Chiang to ensure the Museum receives a strong profile within the media.

Maggie MacKinnon
Accounting Manager

Maggie joined the Museum in 2005 as the Accounting Manager with 8 years of experience in the financial field. She is responsible for account payables and receivables, human resource management and assisting with the implementation of strategic business plans.

Jane Iverson
Assistant Curator

Jane's expertise is Britannia Beach community history.

Fiona McDonald
Sales and Communications Specialist

Fiona McDonald joins us in 2011 as Sales and Communications Specialist from an extensive background in business sales and customer management. She supports sales and business development activities in the corridor and manages the group bookings system. A cultural explorer herself, Fiona is delighted to help the Museum tell its rich mining, community and environmental story.
